The Mid-Michigan Antiquarian Book Dealers Association
WHAT TO BRING TO THE SHOW Due to the large crossover market in collectibles, this is a good time for the book dealers to bring out some old paper and the paper dealers to bring any interesting books. As usual, the condition of an item is very important. Out of over 60 subject interests the following are consistently in the top ten (according to our door prize slips): children's & juvenile, hunting & fishing, military & Civil War, art & architecture, general history & Michigan local, regional and state history, literature & fiction (particularly science fiction and horror). Frequently dipping into the top ten were mystery, cooking, and science & mechanics. Also figuring prominently were sports (emphasis on baseball, football, boxing and golf) and transportation (emphasis on automotive, nautical and railroads). Items of interest are first editions, fine bindings, magazines, advertisements, ephemera, prints and posters, postcards (especially real photo), maps and atlases, scrapbooks, maps, and signed items. |
